Brooke graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Wichita State University in Kansas in 2017. Following graduation, Brooke worked in Kansas PRN for many types of settings such as inpatient, acute care, aquatic therapy, skilled nursing and outpatient. She then moved to Alabama where she worked outpatient for Encore Rehabilitation. She has seen a wide variety of patients and worked with many orthopedic cases involving patients with amputations, military injuries, collegiate athletes, neuromuscular disorders, post-surgical conditions, and worker’s comp.
Brooke moved to North Carolina in the summer of 2019 and began immediately working for Sandhills Sports Performance. During her work experience in Alabama, she noticed several trends and patterns with most of her patients and knew that there must be something “missing” in the typical outpatient clinical practice. After learning about the Postural Restoration Institute, Brooke was able to find the “missing link” for treating patients and has been able to grow and learn with the experienced clinicians that work here.
Brooke has a background as an athlete and with the military. She played many sports in high school and played college soccer in Kansas. Brooke was in the Kansas Army National Guard for 8 years. She has had many sports related injuries herself and understands what it’s like to live and perform with pain. These experiences have made her passionate about improving movement and getting people back to doing what they love.
Outside the clinic, Brooke enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 dogs. She loves hiking, working out, rock climbing, scuba diving, movies, and singing.
